After care - WHAT TO DO
Immediately after treatment, patients will experience mild discomfort and irritation for a few hours.
Swelling is common and will go away within 1 to 3 days. It is important to keep the area clean and dry. A cold application may be used to reduce swelling.
Patients are advised to use a broad spectrum sunscreen for up to 6 weeks after treatment and to avoid direct sunlight and sunbeds while healing. The area should not be covered with makeup or mascara until the area has completely healed after several days.
After 3-5 days, the scabs/crustacea will flake off. Although it is tempting to pick at the scabs, you should not do so but let the scabs flake off naturally. Otherwise, it could lead to infection and scarring.
